The Peserey Handicrafts Workshop was founded to produce modern reproductions of historical bladed weapons with the utmost craftsmanship and historical fidelity. We specialize in the rich heritage of arms from Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Iran, the Ottoman Empire, and Central Asia, focusing on the 18th century and earlier periods.
This journey began when I took on the responsibility of restoring a historic sword passed down from my ancestors. My lifelong interest and talent for creating with my hands served as my compass while bringing this artifact back to life. Although the craft of blacksmithing is in my family roots, this heritage was not passed down to me directly. Therefore, through years of personal effort and research, I acquired this craft by rediscovering a nearly forgotten tradition.
For me, this work holds a much deeper meaning than simply forging metal. Touching people's lives and leaving a lasting piece of myself in this world is my greatest spiritual fulfillment. While I am aware of the destructive power of weapons throughout history, I also recognize that we have built the civilized world and our current order by virtue of them. This dichotomy lends character and depth to every piece I create.
With this philosophy, every sword and dagger that leaves our workshop is not just a piece of sharpened steel, but also a cultural and artistic reflection of the era to which it belongs. From material selection to the forging process, from decorative arts to leatherwork, we aim to capture the aesthetic and functional integrity of the original artifacts in every stage.
With these pieces we create for collectors and historical reenactment enthusiasts worldwide, we aim to keep the warrior spirit and the tradition of craftsmanship of the past alive. Explore our works to see for yourself the detail in our craftsmanship, our commitment to quality, and my personal dedication to this art.
