Hamit (the owner of Peserey Handicrafts) strikes a very good balance between the price and performance of his swords. Considering the made-to-order nature of his business, his wait times are pretty good (when other smiths could take one to two years for similar work). The heat treat and edge grind on the swords are very good. His scabbards are also probably the best out there in the given price bracket, since each scabbard is actually custom fit to the sword you order. This leads to perfect retention of the sword, not being too loose that it would ever fall out (you can turn the sword upside-down and it stays retained in the scabbard), nor too tight that you can't easily draw the sword.
